August Scrap Class

This is from my Inspiration Folder, LO #49 Cogs & Gears.
I wanted to use Gorgeous Grunge as well as Clockworks & Sense of Time, for the background, and found how to make cogs by punching the largest Boho flower and trimming off he points, I saw this technique on Pinterest originally from Stamp with Bernie, her blog address is below, as well as the Pinterest link, check them out here-

What I've been up to

Since last post,  I've been to Convention and  had a wonderful time; I had planned to blog before I went tho that didn't eventuate...so now I'm back with a few cards I have just finished.
I  made these cards for friends,

This card was made for a team member to lift her spirits, I used a favourite Stampin' Up! stamp [now retired]. Card stock and ink is Pacific Point. I used the paper piecing tool to create a pattern,on the rectangle on the left.

This card is for another team member.  I've used another favourite stamp set that has been retired for a while, Card stock is Real Red, as is the satin ribbon. I daubed using
a bit of sponge the Whisper White card looked too stark and the daubing softened it nicely.

And this  card is for a customer who is just 17!!! Do you remember when you were that old!!!

I've used DSP from the Paisley Petals pack, glued it to Not Quite Navy after cutting around some of the flowers, then daubed with NQN and then attached Whisper White card that has been punched with the Dotted Spotted Ribbon Border. The base card  is Baja Breeze. Sorry that the photo is not straight.

Soon I'll post the photos of the display I'm planning to have in the Post Office Window...in the Village. Then photos of the display of the Show...stay tuned

happy crafting

Musings with Me.

Glad you stopped by, Wednesday is the best day for me, my Husband does the school drop off and pick up, which gives me time to do the things I love....Blog, be creative with Card making and Scrapping, then, if I have time...ironing! hehehe. Notice I do the important things first.

oops! ...  it's Thursday now, I didn't want to post Wednesdays musings too early, now it's a bit too late-for Wednesday.

I saw this quote from Howard Thurman, I liked it so I'm sharing ...

"Don't ask yourself
what the world needs-
Ask yourself
What makes you come alive
and then go do it.
Because what the world needs
is people
who have come alive".

Great isn't it?  that's why I love being creative- it's when I come alive.

I've done the swaps for Convention, Yay!, now all I have to do is add the recipe to the back and seal the bags.
Here is a photo of what 110 swaps look like....why 110...? well I had more cups cut out
and didn't want them to be left alone, so I made up the extra swaps.

By the way, a 'swap' is the card front, with a 'recipe' of what stamps, inks, paper and accessories were used to make the card; it is inspiration shared.

Stay happy!
Colleen.
