From my inspiration folder LO # 33 Vellum Tubes. I haven't got any writing on this page yet, I need quiet time to remember the day and write words that will trigger the memories of my sons, here they are aged 3 years and 1 year. they are so huggable aren't they? OR maybe I'm bias ! anyway what we did was, wipe a squeesed tea bag over the vellum; Let the Vellum dry and then stamp with Gorgeous Grunge stamps and a variety of colours, I used Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Calypso Coral and Cajun Craze, because they blended with my photos and the theme of the page. I used a 2" circle to punch out the shapes then rolled them around a biro.
For ALL things creative from papercraft to watercolour/acrylic painting, sewing, writing, and more.

Hello and Happy 2013 everyone!
It seems like an eternity since I was last here, that was just before things got really busy in our house hold. I was planning for my first Stampin' Retreat, with the help of my sister Julie. She lightened the load so much I don't think she realizes just how much her help was, Thanks Julie.
Ok! first I'd like to share the card I made for Kevin, the owner of the Kuranda Resort, where we stayed for our Inaugural Inky Chicks Retreat.
The colour scheme I used is Island Indigo, Early Espresso, Midnight Muse and Whisper White....there is a slight variation in the blues...I got a little mixed up and used Midnight Muse for the card instead of Island Indigo...now that I've pointed it out you can see the difference, can't you? o well, it just proves my point that there are no mistakes in card making or scrap-booking, we simply create inspirational moments or happy accidents. [please don't think I am blowing my own trumpet. I simply have a fun approach to encourage creativity, instead of diminishing it.]
warm regards
Colleen

Swaps
Hello, I've just been to a Regional Event and have to share my swap. It was CASEd from the Impressions magazine supplied from Stampin'Up! it has a few different techniques to check out, I added my take on the one in the magazine.
