From my inspiration folder LO # 33 Vellum Tubes. I haven't got any writing on this page yet, I need quiet time to remember the day and write words that will trigger the memories of my sons, here they are aged 3 years and 1 year. they are so huggable aren't they? OR maybe I'm bias ! anyway what we did was, wipe a squeesed tea bag over the vellum; Let the Vellum dry and then stamp with Gorgeous Grunge stamps and a variety of colours, I used Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Calypso Coral and Cajun Craze, because they blended with my photos and the theme of the page. I used a 2" circle to punch out the shapes then rolled them around a biro.
For ALL things creative from papercraft to watercolour/acrylic painting, sewing, writing, and more.

Half Front Card CASEd from Dawn
We made this card first because it seemed a harder card, [it wasn't]; we had to cut around the flowers. Then after sticking down that piece of whisper white we cut the Crumb Cake card, around the flowers leaving a small border then snipped the card at the fold, to the top of the card. This is called a Half Front Card and was CASEd from Dawn Griffith. The colours are Crumb cake Card with Whisper White stamped with Strawberry Slush. Rhinestones complement the center of the small flowers and add sparkle.
The second card is another version of the Half Front Card. This time we measured down about 2" or 5cms, along the opened side and cut across the card and along the fold to the top leaving a half front. The flowers were stamped onto Very Vanilla Card and then punched out using the matching punches. I used Basic Pearls on this card to give a softer subtle look. The colours are Elegant Eggplant and Rose Red with Very Vanilla. I've also used a piece of DSP from one of the Paper stacks from a previous catty.

Baby Brag Book
Here are some of the pages from the Mini Album I made for a niece and her daughter.
I used the Big shot Scalloped Square to cut all the pages including the covers which were a cardboard.
Some of the pages have pockets to put trinkets in or other special items,
The borders around the pages leave space in the centers to journal the memories.
I used stamps, that were suitable for a girl, that's why the colour of the pages are mostly pink!
Textured Impression Embossing Folders came in handy to give texture on some of the pages.
The framelits and embosslits were a great help as well, which gave a variety of extra bits and pieces to enhance the effect.
I used daubers on every page, that was the most tedious task, but worth the effort.
Daubing highlighted textures, and gave the edges that extra something; the pages looked pale when not daubed.
I made a box for the Album to go into and tied it off.
I guess the box could have been deeper so that when all the photos and memorabilia
have been recorded it would still fit, to be kept as a heirloom.
As these albums go, really, they need to be used and have finger marks on them to show the appreciation of the life they record.
I really enjoyed creating this for you Maree, I trust you and your Girl will treasure the story you write.
hugs

Swallowtail Cards
There is a piece of Crumb Cake card, stamped with Crumb Cake Ink using the 'Delicate Doilies' stamps. This piece of Crumb Cake has been torn at the top and layered over two strips of Rose Red card [one on each side] that have been punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border.
I tore piece of the Delicate Details Lace Tape and added it to the top. The base card is Basic Grey.
The Two-Tone Ribbon [Basic Gray/Basic Black] has been fringed at both ends, then the greeting is layered on top. The effect of the double Modern Label Punch is created by punching two pieces then cutting one in half length wise to layer under the other punched piece. The colours depend on what your project dictates.
This second card below, I made for one of my sisters, using the same colour scheme of Basic Grey, Crumb Cake and Rose Red, adding part of a Tea Lace Paper Doily instead of the Delicate Details Lace Tape.
The top label is a rectangle cut to fit the stamped wording, from the 'Amazing Family' stamp set. I simply distressed the Rose Red layer using the 'Stampin' Distress Tool', this tool is so much fun to use, it can be used lightly to have a soft effect as with the left hand side of the piece or more heavily as the bottom side of the piece, I just realised there are varied effects on this one piece...hahaha and that's because it is hand made.
Around the bottom rectangle I gathered some Rose Red Seam Binding Ribbon, and how I did this is by placing sticky strip on the back of the card at the top and bottom of the rectangle then as I placed the Ribbon down onto the tape, I gathered it as I went. I then had to put another piece of sticky strip on top of the ribbon so it would stay in place on the card.
This second greeting is layered onto a piece of Basic Gray/Basic Black Two-Tone Ribbon that is a bit longer than the width of the piece of Crumb Cake and then tucked under.
Thanks for stopping by, come again soon

Mother's Day
Sunday night, daughter cooking dinner, so I'm blogging...
Here is the card we made at the workshop I did yesterday at Kerry's. Everyone had fun making it, I trust you will enjoy seeing it. I was inspired by Elizabeth, check out what inspired me here...

Thank you again Elizabeth, here is what I made for the workshop. I couldn't use the pens and flower stamp from Inspired by Nature because there were 12 ladies at the workshop, and it would have been too long waiting to use one set of pens to apply ink to one stamp, so here is what I came up with, a lot of elements for the girls to work on, without having to wait too long.
Using Vintage Vogue Stamp set, one of my favourites, and the word 'fallen' has to be going the right way, so I can read it-[at 2 o'clock on the flower]!!! hehehe. I love this colour combo and would not have thought of it till I saw it on your page.
I've kept the Inspired by Nature card to use later at a class...smaller numbers, should work well.
Love these colours Elizabeth,
